Learn the history and principles of Municipal Socialism and how to organize a movement where communities control resources, housing, and power. Through collective discussion, we’ll analyze local conditions, strategize organizing tactics, and assess the potential of Municipal Socialism as a path to revolutionary change. We will discuss “Municipalism: A Critical Review”, Chapter 3 of David Berman’s “Socialist Mayors in the United States”, and an examination of the difference between general law cities and charter cities. Join us to address key questions:
